Lindsay Olshan, LMFT-ATR-PAT

Lindsay has been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 19 years serving a wide variety of individuals, couples and families. She has focused on the healing of complex trauma, grief, PTSD, anger, depression, addiction and other symptoms of disconnection, but continuously found herself limited by the traditional modes of therapeutic work.

In her own life, she has been affected by multi-generational trauma; holding heavy burdens that were not her own. Through the help of her own medicine work practices, she came to realize that even on her chosen path as a healer, her survival relied upon learning to let go, and let go again, and again to that which no longer serves her. Greeting the shadows of her own psyche, and accepting them as she accepted the light, allowed her to find clarity, healing and a conviction to provide safe spaces grounded in a deep understanding of the human psyche for people to explore this work and connect to their inner wisdom and sovereign right to heal.

She seeks the guidance and wisdom from visionary figures in the fields of psychotherapy, breathwork, somatics and psychedelic medicine. Training under experts such as Dr. Michael Mithoefer (MAPS,) Annie Mithoefer, RN (MAPS,) Mary Cosimano, MSW (Johns Hopkins University,) Dawn Davis, MA (U. of Idaho and Indigenous Program for STEM,) and Dr. William Richards (Johns Hopkins University,) she has cultivated a practice that inspires and energizes her. She also continues to humble herself to the deep wisdom that comes not from renowned teachers but courageous seeks who work with her and attend FADEN retreats. She deeply believes that no one knows more than another and we are all mirrors with the potential to learn so much from each others.

Fluent in English, French, and the language of metaphor, she has a fluid understanding of symbols, abstractions, and matrices. She is able to view the human experience from above–holding space for things not seen, but felt. She tends gently, feels deeply, and sits in wonderment of the unimaginable vastness, the great weave of nature and humanity, the boundless whole.

She is proud to have founded several businesses including Global ARTery–a nonprofit bringing art therapy and training to remote parts of the world and to children struggling with trauma and upheaval. She also maintains a flourishing private practice in San Francisco where she offers KAP (ketamine assisted psychotherapy) as well as more traditional forms of psychotherapy.

She is always honing her skills, participating in trainings to remain educated on the current research in psychedelics and psychotherapy. Having attended CIIS and completed their Graduate Certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and MAPS certification, she is trained, poised and positioned to lead in this psychedelic renaissance. She considers the following to be foundational work to her well of knowledge:

FALLS AWAY

There's a thread you follow. It goes among

things that change. But it doesn't change.

Sooner or later, everything falls away.

You, the work you've done, your successes,

large and small, your failures, too. Those

moments when you were light, alongside

the times you became one with the night.

The friends, the people you loved

who loved you, those who might have wished

you ill, none of this is forever. All of it is

soon to go, or going, or long gone.

Everything falls away, except the thread

you've followed, unknowing, all along.

The thread that strings together all you've

been and done, the thread you didn't know

you were tracking until, toward the end,

you see that the thread is what stays

as everything else falls away.

Follow that thread as far as you can and

you'll find that it does not end, but weaves

into the unimaginable vastness of life. Your

life never was the solo turn it seemed to be.

It was always part of the great weave of

nature and humanity, an immensity we

come to know only as we follow our own

small threads to the place where they

merge with the boundless whole.

Each of our threads runs its course, then

joins in life together. This magnificent tapestry.

this masterpiece in which we live forever.
